7. IVV-Walking Olympiad

Die 7. IVV-Walking Olympiad is over.
The 1999 in Bibione given promise to accomplish an Olympiad perfectly could not be held. Unnecessary waiting periods ensured at least with the concerning that pure olympia joy did not want to arise.

On Wednesday during the registration all earlyarrived had to wait up to 3 1/2 hours, until they finally got handed out their at home ordered and paid starting cards. Problems made here the EDV (unreasonable application of ACCESS, which collpased in the meantime), manual rework of the starting cards by means of shears and hole pliers and a changed product offer between folder of the preregistration and the actual offer (medals for each kind of sport, diplomas, badges etc.). 
Bad is surely, if authority difficulties are added under the responsible person tourist associations to obvious Notknowing of the aids from the different neighbour associations.  Constantly any details had to be clarified among themselves. 
It is surely annoying if the responsible person chief says himself  that "all all IVV-Walker are notorious gripers what her experience is". These words fell after a waiting period of most lining people up of over 2 hours, when naturally one referred this bad state  and asked for remedy. It were not many people waiting, but the operating time of a particular amounted to between stopped 8 to 22 minutes.

On the first day of the event the waiting continued, when one had to wait at the check-out counters of a bicycle up to 105 minutes in ful sun. Some times the distance was closed, because the meeting was not announced at the police, times was none of the only 500 borrowing bicycles there. The members of the IVV presidency could convince themselves of because they waited at the same time for an invitation of the city Telfs. 

For execution of the Olympiad:

The opening celebration under the presentation of the  mayor of Seefeld was impressive and showed the complete range of the alpine folklore.
Imposantes fireworks formed the crowning conclusion.

The walking tracke were in proven measure select and outstanding out-described. 

The bicycle distance was particularly delightful and exhibited for me surprisingly, even there were some differences in height.

The swimming competition took place in the resounding and open-air swimming pool in Telfs. Unfortunately the swimming distances were not controlled.

The evening meetings were accepted very well and ran also smoothly prepared off. 

It harms that lack of organization prevented a clear celebration (walking -) festivity of joy .
